Prior the Outdoor Installation

Before deploying the traps in the field, an in-office preparation has to be done in order to ensure the proper functioning of all devices' components. 

The following steps are required for optimal performance:

• Checking the shipment for potential damages

• Assembling traps
• Charging the batteries
• Performing the device operational tests
  • check battery voltage
  • check self-cleaning operation
  • check network connectivity, send test picture 

In case of re-use of the trap from the previous season, make sure to clean the solar panel and glass cover of electronics (especially the area that covers the cameras) is cleaned. Clean surfaces gently with a textile or a paper towel.

Preinstallation trainings

Trapview organizes regular training sessions for users to introduce the pre-installation steps, to properly prepare/test the devices.

Before the pre-installation training please do next:

1. assemble at least one trap (printed instructions are provided with the traps, they are also attached to this email),
2. place the jumper in the correct position and charge the batteries,
3. source and insert SIM card (optional - if you are using your own SIM cards),
4. Install external antenna (optional - if you have the device with an external antenna),

5. install the Trapview mobile app on your phone or tablet:
